The number one thing with this deck is to make sure you have a good mulligan. Leper Gnome, Southsea Deckhand, Buccaneer, Vulpera Toxinblade, Hench-Clan Thug, and Bad Luck Albatross are all acceptable keeps, but you need a one drop. Preferably a Pirate to snag Patches. For the record, Sinister Strike, Prize Plunderer, and Wand Thief are not one drops.
Pressuring the opponent as early as possible is essential for the deck, and having a good board to finish is usually needed. The deck runs 2 copies each of Sinister Strike and Arcane Golem, as well as Southsea Deckhand and Leeroy Jenkins, so reach is almost never in short supply- though before Nitroboost Poison was nerfed, reach was often 20+ damage in one turn… oh, the memories.
Odd Rogue feels just one card away from being great again. Some sort of small draw minion could be just that, or a small minion to buff the knife.
As far as card substitutions go, you can cut Loatheb and/or one Arcane Golem quite easily. Some people choose to use Ratchet Privateer, but I’m not a fan. With Jandice no longer an option, Loatheb can be swapped out for Doctor Krastinov as a late-game bomb, though that’s not the greatest either.
