Update: I was wrong, Tag Team Tournament will not be permanent. I (and several other outlets) misread the announcement.
I’ve predicted in previous posts and videos that because games like Mario Kart 8, Splatoon and Animal Crossing got DLC packages several years after their initial release, Smash would too. I subsequently gave up all hope on Smash getting any more content after its 5-year anniversary this last December.
As the saying goes, Nintendo zigs where everyone else zags, and Nintendo’s zigging has reared its head once again: not only has the Sora amiibo officially released, but we’re also getting Amiibo Tag Tournaments as a permanent gamemode! I’ve covered the best strategies in the post I just linked, so check that out if you’re interested in it.
