by Doc – Owner, Founder, Italics Are For Nerds
Youtube wants you to use the same fonts for every video, and most people just type in their title and call it good. I’ve noticed in my own behavior though that having italicized or bolded titles can sometimes help with Youtube shorts (I don’t know if it works outside of Shorts, though). As it happens, Youtube Shorts titles and maybe regular video titles can display Unicode characters, so you can visit “fancy text” websites that translate your title into Unicode characters. I use this one, as it gives you lots of options and is easy to use. Just select the result you like and copy-paste it into Youtube.

The downside is Youtube SEO won’t track the Unicoded words, and some things may be harder to read, so be judicious about it. You also don’t want to be the guy whose titles are visually obnoxious, so y’know… don’t abuse this.
