The Snowscape Glitch in 6* Tera Raids

by Doc – Owner, Founder, Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

For as long as I’ve done Tera Raids, there’s been a glitch of some kind revolving around the AI selecting Snowscape. I don’t honestly understand quite how it works, but the issue seems to be that, when a Pokémon has Snowscape as a regular move, it will repeatedly use Snowscape even when it’s already snowing.

It’s not clear to me what causes this. The simple interpretation here is that, unlike rain, sun or sand, the AI is required to keep snow active as a weather condition, hence, it will use Snowscape, and the check to see if it actually needs to use Snowscape is broken somehow. However it doesn’t only use Snowscape, it just seems to use it a lot when snow is already up and isn’t going away. So I’m not entirely certain as to what the conditions are for this glitch to activate.

It seems to primarily activate with Cetitan and Baxcalibur, though it’s possible some of the other Pokémon using Snowscape suffer from it as well. I’ve not noticed this behavior anywhere else, though. I do need to test it on the other Pokemon raids that have it, as I know I’ve seen it, but never took the time to write down whom it applied to. Fortunately, for at least those two raids it does lead to a lot of “freebies” should the glitch activate, which it seems to do fairly consistently.

If you’re taking on a raid that uses Snowscape, cross your fingers and hope for freebies! They’re life savers sometimes.
