The strat’s really simple: if you don’t want to do all the two-controller Kamek grinds you see out there, you can just drift endlessly between these food stands north of Peach Stadium and keep popping snacks. Took me less than a minute to unlock the new costumes for Baby Mario. Just pick your character, teleport to Peach Stadium, drive straight and instead of going on the track, go down the bridge. You’ll see this four-way roundabout with lots of food stands. Voila! Now you can grind.
Just like the Kamek method, I don’t think this will unlock every single character in one shot, but you’ll knock out the majority of outfits this way without issue.

Kamek does not unlock outfits, he unlocks CPU drivers. There’s no fast way to unlock those other than playing Versus mode with the Frantic item set.
Also, each track only gives you one food item, so just go to the nearest food stand on every track and swap out characters. Much better than relying on RNG.

Actually, that’s slightly wrong. Tracks do have more than one food item, but not everything, so it would still be faster than using a food stand that gives you anything.
