Graded Card Probabilities: TCG Card Shop Simulator

by Doc – Owner, Founder, Tired of Seeing These Stupid Fish Over and Over Again

I’ve spent the last however long grading the same common card over and over in TCG Card Shop Simulator, and have graded several hundred cards by this point (as you can see in the image for this post). This is, roughly, the breakdown of probabilities of grades you’re likely to get back, at least if you’re using the 2-day grading service without mods or RNG manips. I don’t know that these numbers are exactly right but if we’re assuming the devs used round numbers then I’ll figure this is about right, but bear in mind I only have a sample size of a few hundred cards graded. I can’t guarantee that this is the same for other grading services.

This means that I’m not crazy: you actually are most likely to get a 10 on things. Who’d’ve thought.

This is also why I generally tell people to include singles and card grading in their money making strategy, as the likelihood of major profits on cards worth ~$2500 is pretty good, so long as you’re not using the 2-day grading service. (Of course, when you’re in the late game and you’re throwing around a few hundred thousand a day, that doesn’t matter anymore). So don’t be afraid to put that extremely valuable Ghost foil card into the slot machine and see what happens!
