Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL World Duel Carnival
was announced today for the Nintendo Switch, sparking the creation of a new tongue twister. Go ahead, say “Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL World Duel Carnival” three times fast.
Author’s note: As I was doing post-draft research to verify my information, I discovered that Nintendo World Report had also made the tongue twister joke. For that, they are my mortal enemy.
Alongside its announcement, Nintendo have informed us that amiibo cards will be releasing alongside it. These amiibo cards are intended to be incredibly rare. First prints of the game will be packaged with up to three amiibo cards that can be used to unlock content in the game – while some are reporting that only one amiibo card will be available per print, this is not yet confirmed.
Here’s the catch: this will only be available in Japan. The game isn’t confirmed for US shores yet.
In addition, there will be an amiibo card dealt with a pre-order. If you are an amiibo collection completionist, I would highly recommend snatching up these cards as fast as possible when they release on August 12th, because it’s very likely they’ll be up for only a few minutes and then gone. I fully anticipate seeing these amiibo become the new “rarest amiibo ever”.
