Welcome to Amiibo Doctor! In addition to training this amiibo, we also have the most cutting-edge guides for nearly every amiibo in the competitive amiibo scene’s many Discord servers. You should also reference our Raid Boss amiibo guides, and if you’re having trouble winning in competitive amiibo, check the official amiibo tier list! Happy training!

There are so many good Incineroars in the competitive amiibo scene that I wasn’t able to pin down the single best Incineroar amiibo trainer. However, it’s unanimous what the best Incineroar strategy is, and the best Incineroar strategy is really simple, so I’ve taken the liberty of just taking what everyone in the scene knows and putting it down.

AI Issues

Nada.

If you teach your Incineroar to play in the air, which you shouldn’t, you’ll notice that he learns to Up Air juggle a bit faster than you’d expect. Otherwise, the Incineroar AI really has no discernibly unique features.

Overall Playstyle

Alolan Whip, unless he’s at the ledge. If he’s at the ledge, use Down Smash. That’s literally it.

How to Train the Incineroar amiibo

According to the framework set in this guide, you’re going to scan Incineroar in. Use Alolan Whip. Then do it again. And again. Don’t run, just walk – you want him to be a walking amiibo.

When your amiibo is recovering, 2-frame him with Down smash.

Do that until he’s level 50. Make sure that that’s 99% of what he does, and that he’s using Alolan Whip when the opponent won’t be able to respond*. You have now trained the best amiibo in the game.

*technically the best Incineroar amiibo have specific methods to further refine that behavior, but it’s so inconsequential that it will only really matter if you’re up against another Incineroar, or a Kazuya amiibo.

Why It Works

Amiibo can’t see command grabs, and Alolan Whip is a command grab with incredible range that the amiibo always lands the strongest hit of (unless they’re in the air). So the opposing amiibo never knows to dodge it, and Incineroar gets the grab every time. It’s… really, really broken.

  1. This is EXTREMELY complicated, you should make it simpler. I’m confused about the part where you teach him to unga-bunga pro wrestler kabonk people… over… and over… and over again. Aren’t you supposed to KEEP your friends and not make them hate you?
