Belgium is a funny place, and its gymnasts even funnier. Nina Derwael is representing Belgium at the Olympics in gymnastics, and her coach, Marjorie Heuls, is apparently a fan of amiibo. She presented this good luck charm to the cameras after her student took the gold in the women’s uneven bars event.
That is, clearly, the Ocarina of Time Link amiibo with its base removed. According to Dutch-language news site HLN, it was given to her by her son, and she carries it around with her as a reminder that her children are always with her.
