Internal data in Smash Ultimate indicates that there will be two amiibo-compatible “signatures”, if you will, that both scan in as Pyra and Mythra. For comparison, Pokemon Trainer has four. From there, it’s a pretty easy conclusion that Pyra and Mythra will be separate.
This follows the trend that’s always been the case for Nintendo. If a character has its own Smash roster, regardless of Echo status, they get an amiibo. That way Nintendo has an excuse to, y’know, print more amiibo.
