Cat Mario amiibo
Scanning Cat Mario into the game awards you “White Cat Mario”, a spin on the “rare 2nd tier item” trope from previous Mario games. Think of the P-Wing from Super Mario Bros. 3, except you’re invincible as well.
Cat Peach amiibo
Cat Peach awards you a random power-up, although it’s unclear at the moment as to whether this includes White Cat Mario (or whatever equivalent Peach would have).
In other games
At the time of this writing (this page will be updated after release) we believe that the Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo will function identically to other Mario and Peach amiibo outside of Super Mario 3D World: Bowser’s Fury. This includes functioning as Mario and Peach in Smash Ultimate and Mario Kart, and other similar scans.
